Default Bowhunting Blind??

I am looking to buy a blind for archery hunting. i would like something that can hold 2 people and enough room to draw. im not sure i want mesh windows anymore....dont know how accurate my arrow would be because of the mesh, BUT im not sold that deer cant see into the blind and see you...at the current moment i dont want to spend more than 100 bucks. right now i have 2 in mind that look good, basically im looking for reviews on them, or info on what a great archery blind is that meets my standards, thanks!!

I have the Ameristep one. It is a good blind for the money and gets the job done. As far as deer seeing inside them, I wear black when I am hunting in my blind because the inside is black. Don't have too many windows open because if the deer can see through the blind then you will get busted moving.

I would definitely take the doghouse blind over the hub model for two reasons-

I have had two hub ones that I had to return because a hub busted when setting it up.

In my experiences, the hub style is much louder to set up over the fold out doghouse one.

Velcro windows are extremely loud when out in the woods, so I wouldn't get one with velcro on the screens if you can avoid it.

I personally feel like I wasted my money on it though. I can't stand hunting out of it because it gets all stuffy inside and just doesn't feel like hunting. Make sure you practice out of it. The first time I shot out of mine, I was only paying attention to the sites on my bow and not where the arrow actually is and I shot the bottom of the window opening with my arrow due to the distance between the arrow and the sites.

The only time I use mine anymore is when it is raining during gun season. I hate bow hunting out of it. But, we have plenty of trees here to use a climber in. Not sure what part of MO you are in.

i plan to take my girlfriend with me and also my hunting buddy. im a smaller guy and she is also small and my buddy is "husky" just looking for a blind to experiment with...in a place or two where there are "unstandable" trees....i have alot of land that the trees are not straight enough or in a good enough position or thick enough to hang a stand. most of the spots being evergreens...

go to dicks and find the "field and stream hunter blind" the bigger one is like 120 but the one i have is 100 and it easily fits me and my dad (we are both big dudes) it has mesh but is easly removable. this is a hub style blind comes with stakes and a nice carry bag.

i personally like the hub style though because i feel they are easier to take down and are more stable once set up. NOTE there are black covers over the windows that are zippered shut

I would highly recommend the Ameristep "Brickhouse", I have two of them and they are perfect for bowhunting.. They have the vertical windows in the corners for bowhunting and the main windows are also easy to shoot out of.. It is big enough for 2 adult men, I have bowhunting out of mine many times with 2 people.. As far as the guy above statement about the doghouse, they are very hard to bowhunt out of and forget about having more then one person hunting in it.. There is no difference in noice between the hub style and the doghouses.. They are equally easy to put up and take down... I also own 2 doghouses which I haven't used for 3 years because I went to a better ground blind stand in the Brickhouse. I don't spend a ton of time hunting from ground blinds because I perfer treestands, but I used both of mine a ton in the late bowhunting season when the snow starts to build up, they also are great for bowhunting turkeys in the spring..

I was thinking about getting a blind this year as well. My wife will be going out with me a few times and wanted to make her comfortable, but couldnt see dropping alot on $$ on somehting that will only get used a few times a year. So instead I bought the Gorilla Gear adjustable blind. I know, it doesnt have a roof but you can set it up in awkward areas and while sitting in a nice fold out chair, it has plenty of concealment.

I have two doghouse style blinds, one larger than the other. I think you'll be much better off sticking with a hub style to hold two people and to bow hunt in, but get one that's 72". The smaller one I have I think is 60" and even with me being short, it's almost impossible to bow hunt in.
I also have two hub style blinds. The Primos Vision Escape is great to hunt from as you can adjust the mesh with magnets. My smaller hub blind was from Dick's. The Magnum Hunter I believe? You can fit two in it and the windows give you many configurations. Not a bad blind for the money, but I think it sucks for collapsing vs. the Primos. If you get a lot of snow, do yourself a favor and place a 2x4 in the middle for support as others on here have recommended. I bust one carbon rod on each hub blind. No problem with fixing them though. The doghouse style just collapsed and neither rod broke in both that were out there. Something to say for flimsy I guess.

I have the Ameristep Brickhouse. I would highly recommend this blind. I've hunted a lot of deer and turkeys in mine. I was able to catch mine on sale several years ago. It has been worth every penny I paid and then some.

the Killzone i plan on buying is 72 inches, has 2 main windows and 7 smaller mesh windows. i think it will be a great purchase once i get the $$. the next time i check my camera's i plan on lookin at a few spots for it. i have a few in mind but im not sure about their locations or distance away from where i think the deer will be.
