why cant kids take bucks on the youth deer day?

i don't know-i'm from ohio. seems to me like they should be able to but every state has their own laws/rules.i would ask your local game warden for starters.

That is just part of your states laws. I am from Michigan and here they can legally, and acually take two if they really wanted to. I personally dissagree with the youth hunt idea all in all, just let them hunt the regular seasons with everyone.

I think that's during a doe-only early season. I think they could take a buck with archery tackle then. Just not rifle.
