Whatever you do, don't copy the material word-for-word or your teacher will call it plagiarism and your grade will drop like a bag of used diapers.

When I was in high school, many years ago, I did reverse plagiarism on my senior research paper on bowhunting. I went through my Field & Streams and Outdoor Life mags and found authors' name of stories in them and gave them my quotes! There was no way in hell that they were going to be able to track down articles from two year old or older magazines.

Unrelated: In college, I had an anti-hunter speech teacher who was known to be very subjective as it stood. I did a pursuasive speech on why hunting shouldn't be banned and he gave me a "C". All speeches were video taped. I complained to the head of department, they reviewed it and gave me an "A." Man I enjoyed smiling at him every day after that!

Seriously, If you want a good grade don't do your paper on hunting. Most Colleges and Universities are full of liberals and antis. You are there to learn and make the best grades you can, so I wouldn't put all that work into something that will be down graded just because of your view point.

Most teachers only care about the content and how well you support your writing. My first year in college, my thesis statement was something like... Of the different techniques for fishing for Largemouth Bass, top water is the most exciting. The teacher went around the room getting our statements and when I said mine, she got all excited and commended me for doing it on an actual interest. That's when your most likely to do your best work too. I would however, run it by any teacher first, simply for the reasons given by LKNHOPPERS on anything controversial. When I did my persuasive speech, I new it was being taped and was ready to escalate as I hated that teacher.

Something sinister about the way you can look a teacher in the face, and with a simple smile say...

"In Your Face!"

I like it!
