Rate your deer season and give your reports
We're getting close to the end and I thought I was curious how you all did. I'm not sure how to create a poll, so I'll do it a different way.
Rating from 1-100. Here's a guide:
1= You're thinking of burning your guns/bows and joining PETA.
50=Expectations met. No more, no less.
100= Milo Hansen wishes he could be you.
I'll score mine as a 70. A doe and a spike buck (a first). Two out of three tags filled. My goal was to take a buck.

Archery season I would rank as a 90. I saw quite a few deer. The only thing that could have made it better is if I would have harvested an animal.
Rifle season I would rank a 95. I got a nice buck and filled some doe tags. A bigger buck would have bumped the score to a perfect 100.

I'll say I'd rank my season as about an 90...I harvested 7 (6 does and a 10 pointer)with my bow and 1 (doe) with my muzzleloader..Seen tons of deer here in Illinois..Very exciting hunts, chased a monster only to come down to my dad shooting him during firearm season...set my best friend up on the biggest buck of his life (145 inch 11 pointer)..and the highlight of my season I would have to say is that I got another one of my good buddies into picking up a bow this past season...I have no complaints on the entire 2009-2010 deer season

I will rate mine as an 85. I had a goal of 4 deer and I got 5 so I give good scores there, but I had a tough season with the does. I wanted more meat than anything so of the four "does I shot 2 thurned out to be button bucks and one a spike (low light and over 100 yards away). On the other hand I shot a good eight point off a property I didn't have a lot of faith in. I also shot a couple pigs while out and about deer hunting. So overall a really good season I am proud of.

The property I have hunted for 34 years sold last year so I was restricted to my own ground. Saw a lot less animals this year, but I did take my personal best as deer go coming off my property. I would say something like a 70. I also shot a doe during muzzleloader season & a doe during archery season. The buck was archery. During the regular fire arms season I had zero opprotunities to kill another doe.

15?
saw 1 buck, probably a 1.5yo, or 2.5yo, tiny 6 or 8, dink buck, only buck I saw all year.
bad season in general, next year something new/different land etc...we'll see how it goes, perhaps public, so I won't have as high of hopes on public land aside from a doe probably. Will be going out west, think I"m more passionate about really big game like elk with a bow on public land out west than local deer, but that's just me currently.

80. I only got one doe but I saw some awesome sights. My favorite was the high rack 8 pointer......on the other side of the fence. Was wheezed at from around 5 yards on one hunt, dogs showed up on another hunt and scared off a group of doe. Saw alotta turkey. My huntin buddies wife dosent care for venison so I ended up with the harvested deer. All together a 6 pointer, spike, and two doe.

I'll have to give mine a 100. I was after a specific buck that I had gotten on trail cam in august. Season opened here in Ohio on September 26th. Five days later on September 30th I had my buck. It sure is a relief getting your buck early!
