Default No kill but cool day.

I didn't get a deer today but I had a good day none the less.

This little fawn doe fed in front of me for about an hour and a half so I decided to have some fun. I couldn't actually shoot her because does are not legal during rifle season not that I would have shot her any way being a fawn but I did "shoot" her a few times.

While I was "shooting" this little doe this black phase coyote came trotting along. Shot her at 25 yards. Would have liked to get her mounted but the exit hole from the .270 was enormous so her hide is pretty well "shot" .

I've yet to set eyeballs on a black phase in the woods. Congratulations!

Get a pedestal shoulder mount of that coyote. Very nice!

Nice looking yote. I have only seen one dark phase yote, not very common around here.

Thats an awesome looking Coyote...I would have her mounted any ways, the Taxidermist can fix a hole...or just leave the spot "Bare" so you can show everyone where you got her!

An older Gentleman where we hunt on a Lease shot a Coyote just like the one You got,I took several pictures of it and he had it mounted.I'm thinking he also had a white colored coyote mounted a few years ago too?
