You give 3 choices of all long range cal. but in open hardwoods doubt you could get a clear shot past 100 yds. The .270 is all the power you would ever need. I would use what i have .243 or my 6.5x55 & never look back!

IF the poll hadn't been closed, I'd have said the .270. Though that's a hard choice agains the aught six!

any of those will do but i shoot a 7mm.08 and my shoulder thanks me everytime i shoot it.

Open hardwoods = close range shooting. I would not pick any of the listed choices, but would go with a handy lever action with peep or low power wide angle scope in 356 Win, 375 Win, 358 Win, 35 Rem, 444 Marlin or 45/70.
