I just got this picture emailed to me claiming that this is a 400lb buck shot in Maine. Does anyone know if this is real??

awsome buck. looks like a canadian buck to me though. dont usually see a big body like that in the states. could be though. u never know

I shot a buck before over 300 pounds without it's guts. If you add about 80 lbs. to my buck, in my opinion, it still wouldn't come close to the buck pictured. Buck above looks disproportionate; like it should weigh 500 lbs. or more.

When this was sent to me quite awhile ago, it supposedly was off a high fenced op in Mid west somewhere.

looks photoshopped 2 me. look at the guys right hand. hes just barely got the antler by his finger tips and theres a space between his hand and the antler.

Not only is it a photo shopped picture but the claim that it's from Maine marks the 8th different place I've heard it was killed. Bogus story.

This buck was taken in Canada and as far as I know it is a real picture. It was short story featured in Field and Stream two years ago. I'll go look through my mags and try and find what issue and some more info.
