This blind overlooks a cornfield (pictured below)
Im just wondering if this is a good setup. There are plenty of fresh deer tracks onn the road, I was out there tonight setting up. We had a cold front come through around 12, so shouldnt deer be moving heavily tomorrow? I cant hunt the am, but will be heading out around 1 . Any tips on the blind as well, its my first one ive owned and I dont really know what a 'well' concealed blind looks like...

the blind is ok ..but you hunt on a flat terrain and realy can't see into the corn field .too bad u can't raise the blind 10 ft. up into the 2 big trees near ur blind. it would make a big differance ..

It looks like a great spot. It looks like that feild extends farther than the picture, so like hienz said, you'd be better off at an elevation. But you'll be fine.

Yeah, the field extends left about 30 yds. From the blind you can see over both fields, the picture was taken to the right of the blind about 20 yds. Im headin out this evening around 1 0r 2.

That set up looks good! I'd personally be in one of those trees on the right in the pic with a hang-on stand though. Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

I would fill it in a little more with the surrounding brush or cedar branches.....if the Deer aren't moving close enough to your Blind and your too far back from the corn field you can always move it in a little closer and use some of the corn stalks around your blind to conceal it and make it look more natural.

I think You'll do better in the blind because there is little to no cover up in a tree this time of year and you'll get skylined when the Deer come in!

Missed a doe at 30 yds. me and my friend both thought she was atleast 40 yds, and I put my 40 yd pin on her shoulder and let her fly.....6 inches over that fat does back. Oh well, i'll get her next time.
