Default Two Sides

If you will look at his nose his head appears to be turned a little to the left and lowered. He may well have both sides still. If he does, he is definitely a shooter.

I passed a half acked 8 pointer on the second to last day of out ML sason, thinking I could do better. Never saw another deer the rest of the season. Now I am wishing I would have taken him out.

Thumbs up

If you're into a larger racked buck and if he has both sides, I'd say he's a shooter for sure. Looks to me he's close to P&Y if the other side is remotely symmetical and of similar size.

Shoot him!

If you alreagy have meat in the freezer, let him go if he is a half rack or broken up. But if I was sitting on an empty freezer, I would shoot him

There is no right answer, I think. Everyone has their own reasons for hunting and rationale for deciding or not to pull the trigger and under what conditions. Its really up to you.
