May be something tame and fun to shoot like a .243 which is fine for deer especially for typically smaller body FL deer.

I was kind of figuring in a premire scope with the rifle for the cost, so a sako + swarovski + ammo = close to 2,500. You could go with a Kimber Grand American to push the cost up. Or check out some custom,or semi-custom rifles like Dakota Arms. Oh, you also will probably want to shoot this rifle a lot, so depending on how much you enjoy recoil or not might play a factor in buying the .338 or .340. great calibers to be sure, but too much kick for this wuss. Please let us know what you are now thinking, or what you end up with.

For 2500 bucks I would go with two new calibers.. You have a good medium caliber, so I would go with a 243 and 30 caliber or larger.. Maybe a 325 WSM??

It really depends on what you plan on using it for. I would say a step up and a step down if you want two more. Say a 300WM and a 22-250. $2500 should be enough for the guns and quality glass for each.

I have a couple of Browning 270's one wood stock that I use and a stainless/synthetic that I got for my son.

It's an awesome deer gun and I have been lucky and made good shots on each deer I have taken. I have three eight points (two mounted) and a bunch of does and a few sows, (good eats)!

I want another Gun, no good reason other than I like them, I mostly hunt in FL,Ga and Al, and I was looking for some suggestions. I was thinking of trading one of the 270's (maybe), and could spend up to
$ 2,500.00.

Thought you guys might enjoy this..... it's always fun to spend someone else's money!

well..if it was my $$ i would build a custome gun. i would take a cz mauser action, have a 26in barrel chamberd in 300 weatherby made for it, and put it in a monte carlo wood stock. top it off with a burris scope. but thats just me

Default Buy three

Well with $2,500.00 dollars I would buy 3 of my Savage stainless rifles with Nikon Buckmaster scopes in 3 different calibers. The one I shoot and love has the accutrigger in 300 WSM. I already have a 270 and 30-06 so I would probably get a 243 and 7 MM mag for the other two.

How about a lever action. A Marlin 336 in either 30-30 or 35 Rem, both are excellent deer rifles. Of course I can't pass up an opportunity to show off mine.
