Default What do you guys think?

I hunt this spot and have seen deer 2 out of the last 3 nights iv hunted it. I didnt see deer tonight we got thunder and lightening after the snow/rain storm we had so I figure they bedded down. Were supposed to get 20 to 30 mph winds the next 3 days I know they bed down when its that windy but they havent eaten all day by me like they usually do. Theres still an excess of acorns a whole ton of them under the snow. So my question is if you think itll be worth itheading out there with the wind being so bad? I know im not gonna shoot a deer from my couch so ill be going out neway most likely just lookin for some opinions

Nah. You mean encouragment.

During that type of weather, I most always go where it's thicker because that's where the deer are to get out of the wind. I either still hunt(sneak hunt) through that type area or pick a likely spot and set up a hunting chair/stool and see what happens.

And you're right, you're not "gonna shoot a deer from your couch..."

Best of luck and keep at it!

thanks snipe your rite i was just looking for some encouragement lol. Im not to good at still hunting im more of a stand hunter. Iv had alot of success with my stand placement this year and spot choices. Just wasnt able to seal the deal on 3 out of 4 bucks but hey you win some you lose some. Nothings gonna come out of dwelling on the past just gotta keep hunting hard and as quick as my success went bad it could go good again

At least you spelled "encouragement" right. I seemed to have lost it. LOL!

Glad to hear you're having better luck picking better stand choices. It makes it all the more fun and really builds the confidence when you sit in a new area. If you're not into still hunting, you can still work slowly "towards" a likely spot, then when you get there, sit and see what happens. I've had good luck many times doing that. I'm also tricking you into still hunting, but you don't know that. LOL!
