I would imagine that if the drop is at the exact middle between the G3 and the end of the main beam, that you would have to take the measurement on the end of the beam side since measuring it on the side closest to the G3 would most likely be larger and would give you an advantage. You already get an advantage of inches having the drop so I doubt you could get an advantage on getting the larger circumference.

Having a drop tine is only an advantage in the world of gross scoring. It is a complete handicap in the net world even if it looks good. Jut sayin

Agreed. Unless you have a ton more non-typical points to push his non-typical score up, he would be a typical with heavy deductions. As would a perfect 6X6 with forked brow tines.
