in Virginia we get 3 buck tags and 3 either sex tags (3 either sex tags and 3 antlerless only tags)..then u can get bonus either sex tags if you run out..i killed 9 last year (two 8 pointers,5 pointer,two 3 pointers,two button bucks,and two does)

So far, I have killed two does and a buck in Oklahoma and two does and a buck in Texas, and I still have 5 "management" doe tags here in Texas.

I think we could eat 4per year. This year I shot a nice buck (185#field dressed) and five does. I took home two of the does and gave the others to some of the not so fortunate hunters in my party.
Most yrs I shoot 3-5.

In NY we can get one with bow, one with muzzle loader, a regular season tag, and potentially 2 doe tags. I am usually happy with getting one doe and a buck for our own consumption.

On average, I take 4-5 deer a year. This year I have taken 6, but I have also passed probably close to 30 deer this year. Something I have never done.
