Default killing does with yearlings

I am wondering what everyones thoughts are on killing a doe that has 1 or multiple young with her? Is it ethical? Will the young survive without their mother?

yeah i'd do it, its not like they cant survive on there own. Although I had the chance 3 times this year to do so and I did not. Only because My Girlfriend Said she would break up with me. Tahaha WTF!

Also a spotted fawn can live on its own 2 months after birth, But it wont be as healthy.

I let two go this year that had a spotted fawn jumping all over them. I could not tell who the mother was and wasnt sure if the fawn was still nursing or eating on its own so I let them walk. I am glad I did because I had the pleasure of watching a spike & a 4 pt lock up and fight for the does.....what and awesome thing to experience!!

I usually pass now after a bow kill. The doe was with a couple of yearlings. She still had milk.

I now just pass and wait. I've gotten a few nice bucks by waiting.

The fawns will make it providing they are healthy.

Not to much of a problem where I am at. We have hardly seen any adult does the last two years let alone does with fawns. Plenty of bucks though. The whole scenario where I hunt has been very perplexing over the last few years.

Heck, if you are worried about the fawns, kill them to...

To semi quote The Patriot..."Fawns make a good meal"...
