Default No.4 Freezer Meat Down

Well sunday 11/08/09 @ 7:26am I rattled lightly and had a Doe come running down the hill directly to me. It wasn't the first time that I rattled and had Doe's respond to it either. I have shot probably 4 or 5 Doe's from rattling them in. But she came running down, bouncing down the hill as if to say..."I'm right here"..., so she came down and smelled the trail I came walking in on and followed it all the way to my tree. She then got to the base of my tree and began sniffing and licking the steps that I climbed up the tree on. She then walked out from underneath me when I let the arrow fly. She walked 40 yards off onto the hill and layed down. 5 min later a small 4 pointer walked in and followed her trail to where she was laying down. He then proceded to attempt to get her moving by trying to lift her with his rack as if to tell her to get up and lets go. He stayed by her side even while I climbed out of my treestand and watched me doing so. I came within 25 yards of where the 2 were and he refused to leave her. An hour and a half later he was still hanging out with her when he finally gave up on her and walked off. One of the neatest things I ever got to see. So with my number 4 Doe down, I have decided to not to shoot anymore Doe's this year since the freezer is busting at the seams and concentrate on getting my wall hanger buck. I'm off of work from 11/13-11/22/09, so wish me luck. Talk to you guys again soon, good luck to all of you as well.
