Default Rub

Found a little rub yesterday morning. I saw the deer in the field as I was approaching the property. I thought is was a cow at first. I backed up and he was already in the woods. I walked through the swamp and I found this...

Why do you say it is not a rub? There was deer crap right behind the tree... New shavings on the ground... and it stops just where the top of the picture is. You can tell where it was rubbed last year at the base of the tree. Once you enter into the swamp, there are several new rubs along with a few rubs from last year. I have to disagree with you on the" it's not a rub" statement. Sorry. I also saw the deer from the road at this exact spot.
