Green mucus sacks?
![]() |
3 years ago my uncle took a half rack.. his drivers side rump quater was full of green meat and it smelled bad.. assumed it was hit by and arrow or a slug and just didnt do enough damage to kill it.. clotted and started to heal..
actually come to think of it,,, i bet ya since it was a half rack it could have gotten nailed by car.. |

I've found that once before but it was also obvious that all the meat on the front shoulders was green too and there was a cavity where I found parts of a rusted away broadhead in a shoulder. This deer had huge antlers, but all the meat was spoiled, and since he was limping badly, and moving slow he was about to die of poisoning anyway. In my case the game warden came around and collected the deer, allowed me to have another buck tag and the antlers.

That looks pretty nasty. I don't know anything about it, but I do know that if I ever use the words "mucus sack" while describing meat, I'm not going to eat that meat......
Did you eat any yet? |
I want some pics

just looks like fatty tissue to me. You will know when you run into some infection.
