Default scouting/ game plan

well ive got a stand on this property with a known shooter im after, with possibly more. since my friend who also hunts there shot a decent butck in yoath season, my shooters are ( at least 15in. wide. decent tines. etc,)
ive hunted my stand where ive got the pictures of the buck about five times, and never saw anything but couple of does one time.. all the pictures have become night photos.
i think the deer are spending the time in the set aside field on the edge of the property, with my stand alot further into the woods..
im thinkin about setting up closer to the field after i scouted more today and found a good used trail from the field going into the woods,
the trail had a strand of barb wire broke from the fence around the field, along with hair and alot of tracks goin into the woods.
i walked a good portion of the property today though and im wondering, how long should i wait before i hunt the area.
i was planning on hunting this weekend, and theres a good chance of rain thursday to hopefully wash my scent out totally.
do u think me walking and scoutng the area has altered the deer movement any?
and tips on where i should typically set up to get a crack at the deer that i beleive most of the deer are coming from the set aside field thats been cut in the mornings.. any ideas? tips?

i'm sorta stressin out about how to get a good game plan.. any help would be apreciated..

I'd try to ambush them on that trail you found either coming off the field or coming on the field. Also it looks like that trail you found intersects with that logging road, that should also be a good spot. You also have to watch wind direction. If deer are in the area your scent will not change their habits with you scouting 1 day. Watch that trail hard, play the wind and you should see your shooter if he's in the area. Good Luck! KSwild
