well hell where do i begin oct 16 2009, 9:27am i smoked my 1st deer of the season here in texas location, comal county canyon lake area. It was an excellant morning low 50,s with a nice soft north wind,& im proud to say it was the ol slickhead, the absolute biggest 1 i ever hammered she had come in early 7:15 just after my feeder rung the breakfast bell but i passed her up hoping that the ol bone head would come cruisin in. After 15 min she walked off & of course the bucks that i had been catching on the cam never showed up. 9:15 rolled around & i hadnt seen anymore deer & was kickin my self in da butt for not shootin that oversized hill country doe & was fixin to leave when all of a sudden guess who showed up for brunch ah ha that biiig ol grey granny slick. when she walked in at 9:20 she was on red alert big time & i didnt think i had a chance but she made a crucial mistake, she turned her back to me & faced away from me & started to take her last bite & thats when i drew the ol truth baby & as soon as she started turning broadsided she stopped in a quartering away pos. & thats when i let that carbon shaft topped with a rage broadhead sail home.
