Default How much does rain affect sighting in a riffle?

Hey guys. I have never heard this question answered before so I thought I'd ask it. I am going to sight in my riffle this evening but its supposed to be lightly raining. I always try and wait till its clear but I have no choice today. I will be sighting in a 30-06, 243, and 270. So the question is: will the rain affect the flight of any of these calibers much at all at 100 yards? It might be an easy answer but like I said, I have never heard an answer for it.

I don't see the rain affecting it at all. Any significant wind might though. On the other hand, if your barrel stays cooler you might see an improvement in groups.

I quote Craig Boddington..................

"there is little evidence that precipitation specifically interferes with a bullet's passage."

I think you just go out there and do what you would usually do.
