Talking Number 2 & 3 Ohio Freezer Meat Down!

Well Sunday 10-4-09 turned out to be a good day in the woods. My buddy Darrel shot a 140lb field dressed doe and called me on the cell phone to tell me (I had my phone on vibrate). I quickly said yeah I know because she just fell over not 30 yards away from me, but I can't talk cause I have a doe and 3 young bucks coming right at me. I hung up the phone prepared to get a shot off at the doe. Sure enough, she came in at 17 yards and I let it fly. She ran 9 yards from where I shot her and fell over dead. I got down from my treestand and went and checked her out. She too went 140lbs field dressed. I walked up to my pick up truck and met darrel there then we walked back to where the deer were laying. I filled out my tag and placed it on the doe with string. I thought, I better go get my bow from my treestand which I left hanging in my tree. I get up there and looked down and noticed darrel getting up and hiding behind a tree looking off to my right. I looked over in the direction he was looking and seen the 3 young bucks and another doe coming right back to where all the chaos started. The doe came in on the trail that the others just came in on and she stopped to smell the arrow which I just shot the other doe with. During this time I went ahead and nocked up another arrow and let it fly once more. 14 yards later she fell over dead! What a day! With 3 does in the freezer, now I can concentrate on Big Daddy Buck now.

Awesome,
Buckeye= big does too!
140lbs is enormous for a doe here in Oklahoma,
my biggest was only 125 dressed, when I seen her I thought
she was a small buck with a weird rack.Well,then she stepped away from the tree she was standing in front of and the rack stayed there!
