Default Recent Trail Cam Buck Pic

At first I thought this was a typical 8-pointer. Then I see what looks like a inch or so long drop tine. Then, I look closer, and see what looks like some funky antler growing down and out with some dead velvet on it. What do you guys see?

I hope so. He looks like a youngster. 2.5yo, I'm guessing. This is in my backyard in the suburbs so he's got light hunting pressure.

Well, on the left side there appears to be a nub(possibly a droptine)
but I think it might be the tip of his left main beam.As for the fuzzy thing, it looks more like a shadow form that post it's next to.It's hard to tell w/night pic's.

I agree. looks like what you think is a drop with velvet is really a piece or reflection off that stump imo.

I thought of that possibility. So I looked at the other 58 pictures I got overnight in that location and none of them had the same things. I'm trying to get another shot of that sucker from another angle and find out for sure.

The thing I think is a small drop tine is white. Not part of the velvet covered thing hanging down from the front of the main beam. Perhaps sticker would be a better term.
