How high to put a treestand?

The higher you go, the harder the ground will feel if you fall. That's how I look at it. I see NO sane reason why someone would want to be as high as 35 ft up in a tree.

Like already mentioned, it depends, but I try to go 20 to 25 feet if possible.........

Location, location, location.

My stands range in heights of 10 to 30 feet, to the platform. It all depends on the terrain, plus tree and brush types in the area.

I also have a variety of stand types depending on the location.
