Hey Woodseye....I used to be flatlander when I first started hunting up there in 86. Now that I put my time in(16yrs) I' m treated like a maineah. I look forward to my trip up every novemeber to hunt with the same group I have for such a long time. I consider those folks family. We hunt in Waldo County near where little Rhody is.

Yeah :Dthe people up here are nice they just take a while to get to know you! You guys hunt just south of me and are in pretty good buck country.Nice to see there are a few of us Maine huntas around.

Mostly in Unity and Thorndike. We have hunted in Frredom a few times.

That' s cool! My uncle belongs to a camp in thorndike also, I hunted there once last year and plan on hunting there again. I love that whole area, I wish there were job' s around I would live out there.

I posted a topic on another page asking why there is no hunting on sundays, I got 12 replys' but nobody from Maine, then I realized I forgot to asked for the state of Maine! So can somebody please tell me why your not allowed to hunt on sunday' s in MAINE. I understand that I' m not a resident but I spend alot of time there and hope to live there someday, I' m really bothered about it.[:@]

LittleRhody, Maine has a bunch of lame laws, but we are in the works to push for Sunday hunting. It has been on the back burner for some time, but people are trying to bring it to the front...they got my vote!!!

I' ve asked this before myself and the answer was vague but believed to go back to a religious idea. I doubt we can find anyone around today that would know the intent of the law. I sure hope it comes to a vote as I only have a 4 day season right now ( just Saturdays).
