I would like to hunt blacktail deer on kodiak IS in alaska. I estimate it to cost about 3000$, there and back. I want to hunt AK at least once before I die, but Im not paying 10K to hunt anything.

I'm surprised that you didn't list Iowa. Every "professional" TV hunter loves to come poach... er... hunt, big bucks in Iowa. We do have some big deer running around here, but the trick for the non-resident (and many of us residents) is to find land to hunt on. Iowa has the least public hunting land of any state in the nation.
I voted "other". If I had lots of money (and luck), I'd want to do a combo elk/mule deer hunt in CO, UT, or northern AZ or NM. That would be awesome.
