Only because I feel that Outdoor Life is a company that I would trust, I'll say I would believe it until proven otherwise. I can't see them running an article that would definitely raise big questions without Outdoor Life being under the impression that the rack/story is real.

LOL!!: Outdoor life covers themselves rather well with the use of such words/phrases as " apparently ", " appears ", " sort of ", " maybe ", etc,etc.
When is the last time you saw articles, being represented as FACTUALLY TRUE, regardless of the publication, { other than the National Enquirer } using those terms/phrases?
