RE: hunting checklists
You found the right site. You'll bet better information here from actual hunters than any other site.
When I go turkey hunting I make sure I take the following items.
- Bug spray!!!!!!!!!
- Camo (to include hood and gloves)
- Shotgun with 5 shells.
- Hen decoy.
- Binos
- Slate call and diaphram call.
- Pop-up ground blind depending on where I'm going.
- Turkey vest with seat cushion.
- Camera.
When I go deer hunting I make sure I bring the following things...
- Weapons of some kind (either rifle or muzzleloader) with extra ammo.
- Camo that has been washed and dried with scent free products (hood and gloves just in case).
- Binos and range finder.
- Grunt call.
- Rattling antlers.
- Windicator.
- Pack with an assortment of items. I.E. Rain gear, hand warmers, drag harness, skinning knife, camel back with water, doe urine, glow sticks, flash light, GPS, cell phone, scent wafers, latex gloves, etc...
- If I'm blind hunting, I set the blind up several days in advance to the hunt. If I'm stand hunting, I'm usually hunting from a permanent stand.
