WOW!
Please don't think I'm foolish for asking, but what does something like that go for?
I guess I'm wondering if you were lucky to be in the right place - at the right time and didn't have to give an arm and a leg for it?!!

Expensive.... if the guy knew what he had
Some old lady cleaning out her basement.... a steal I'm sure.
Very nice!
My taxidermist years ago was trying to sell a big brown bear mount/rug I can't remember, just know it was in the top 10 BC or something, and I think wanted like 10-15k for it.

It was not cheap, I think I got robbed, I had to give $325 for it.. LOL.. I have the taxidermist getting me a cape for it and will have it redone. It had a tag on the back from the originaltaxidermist and the harvest tag with the hunters name.. It makes the BC book all time at 240"+.. The person I got it from bought the house and this was hanging in the barn and had no interest in it..

I would have guessed that it would have scored higher than 240, dang thing is huge. I don't know if I would remount the deer or not, that old boy has been around for a long time like that, maybe a good cleaning would suffice.....
