How much do you want to spend?
Where do you hunt?
What do you hunt?

Leopold VX-III because that is the best I can afford. If I had the money, Iwould probably buy a Swarovski.

leopold is the most over rated scope on the market, for deer hunting you really don't need a expensive scope.

Your budget, including rings and mounts, is the first question. If you have $2,000 to spend I would get the Zeiss Diavari, great scope. If $400 is it, then the Bushnell 4200 Elite would be my choice.I agree, the Lupy is over priced for the value.

More info is needed before a suggestion can be made. I have several leupolds, Vari X II, VX 2 and Rifleman, happy with all. I also have Bushnell elite 3200 and Nikon Buckmaster and Prostaff, completely satisfied. MY next scope purchase I was thinking may be a Zeiss Conquest. Havent decided though. Forgive my lack of punctuation for some reason every time I hit the apostrophe button the quick search applet comes up.

I have the leupold vx-iii 4.5-14x40 LR B&C reticle on my .270, it's a pretty sweet combo!

If you're gonna get a 3.5-10x I'd go for the zeiss conquest with the z600 reticle or the leupold vx-iii

Just threw a ziess conquest 4.5-14x44 mil dot on my new .243, I think it's a step up from the leupold, very sweet looking, can't wait to shoot it!
