This year I killed my 8 point with a shot to the jugular with my .243 with Remington corelokt 100 grain bullets, shot was 80 yards away.

I was all shaky it was a cold morning I was not trying to take a head shot. I did no have such a good rest to shoot on, and it was cold as hell.

i shot mine high in the shoulder and exited through the liver it went right down

The plants were high where i shot mine and I saw it drop but once I got 40 yards from it I thought it was gone but surely enough it dropped right there it was just in a low spot.

I hit mine in the femoral artery he went 70 yards and dumped right in a pond.

I shot my buck 86 yds away ,it was a 9 point and i shot it in the heart with a 270 130 grain core lockt bullet the deer died in its tracks.

i got my 8 in the heart 23 yards with bow. 2 does shot with 270wsm dropped in the tracks heart shot..slow year for us here.
