I live in SW MO and found a shed this morning. Just wondering if anyone else in the midwest has found any. It was just a small one but one I had never see or got pics of.

seems pretty early but I know a few have dropped in so.iowa. i have found a few dead bucks with no aparent wounds. maybe a rough winter so far has made a difference. alot of ice has made looking for food tougher than normal.
the next month should be good.

whats the best way to look for them??? Do they drop them near rublines or do they just drop them randomly? Is i best just to follow the runs? How do you search?

1.bedding areas
2.feeding areas (picked corn fields are always good)
3.fence and road crossings (they sometimes fall off when jumping over a fence or into a ditch)

If you spring turkey hunt keep your eyes open and walk slow you might stumble onto one.

i found a set on jan 3rd, it was a buck i had been hunting for this past season, i got some trailcam pics of him, i green scored the sheds at 156" with a 20 inch spread, im reallly anxious that he made it, i can't wait til next year to see how big he gets. i found a single 5pt side, that was pretty nice, id say a big 2 1/2 yr old, i found it on the 31stof Dec, i haven't really been hunting for them yet, i've just been doing some rabbit hunting and running across them

There are definitely some dropping. It's been so cold I haven't been out yet. Just got a shed hunting DVD called Go Shed Hunting (goshedhunting.com) and it's really got me fired up! Now I gotta get out there!
