I use ScentLok and think it works.Some who get up,go to a greasy spoon for breakfast,smoke half a pack of cigarettes in the truck on the way to the stand,drink coffee in the stand wear ScentLok and say the deer still busted them.I take a shower with non scented soap,leave my clothes hanging outside under a covered deck,wear rubber boots also left outside and very rarely ever get busted by a deer.ScentLok is like most products in that it is rarely used properly.I also sight my guns in before season and recheck at least every two weeks during season,always check the wind before chosing stand site and hunt every minute I can,but a lot of my friends just say I am the luckiest person hunting they ever saw.

I can afford it but don't think it's all it's made out to be. If it work for others thats fine. I feel it's just another gimmick. Play the wind and try not to move around in your stand......thats my therory.

How about an antimicrobial base layer? Do you think that would help? It seems like if you just wore a base layer made out of some kind of scent fighting material that you could wear whatever outer garment you wanted... As long as it was de-scented properly also.

there is a difference between scent-control and scent covers.
Being scent free (as much as possible) and using a cover scent is much more effective than just covering your boots and garments in fox pee or whatever you choose to use.
Your scent is still there, but masked by the scent cover.
It's like taking a big dump in the bathroom and spraying some febreeze. Still smells like crap, flowery crap, but still crap.
