If you'd like complete instructions, they sell B&C scoring kits at Bass Pro and Cabelas. As far as field judging, a deers spread will not add up as fast as long, heavy tines. Look for a deer with antlers at least aswide as his eartips which is approximately 16-20 inches depending of age of deer. Look forlong main beams andlong tines, especially G2's and G3's. Its been my experience the darker the antlers, the older the deer which usually results in more mass. I like to compare the lengthof the G2's and G3's to the length of the ears or nose to eyes which on a maturewhitetail is 8-10 inches.

close to 60% or more of the score is contained in the main beam. Mass and beam length make up for tine numbers/length shortcomings.
