My First Buck
 

This is my first deer season and i happened to grab a buck in southern Iowa. Just a spike buck but a nice start to a lifetime of hunting. Leaning against a tree in full timber i was going for this nice doe, then finally after seeing multiple does, a buck decided to show himself.

.50 cal in-line muzzleloader from 110yds out.

thanks a lot guys... got to field dress it (HILARIOUS) kinda hit the poop sack...boy was that interesting... check out all this sh1t...

but yea...i just got back from skinning it and cutting out meat... it was a kicka$$ experience and im really pumped to hopefully harvest a big fat doe come late december

Great job on your first buck, although it looks like gutting him didn't go quite as you planned haha. Don't worry about it, I'm sure you will get plenty of practice field dressing them in the years to come, keep it up!
