Use the wind (windier the better actually and even better if rain/snow mixed in) stillhunt your wayin and shoot one. You may end up spooking them, and you may end up shooting a big one.

By stillhunting I'm saying travelling at no more than 100 yds/hour or so. It can be done.

I would only do it near the end of the hunting season, but wait for a wind that puts your stand downwind of the thicket. Then get a buddy to around the upwind side of the thicket. In most cases he doesn't even need to walk through the thicket, just his scent being carried through the area will cause some deer to try and sneak out the backside, right wear you are waiting. If he actually walks through the thicket and jumps the deer, they may be running to quickly to get a shot at when they come past you.

Its worked to perfection for me in the past, but you do run the chance a scaring deer off your property for the rest of the season. But at this time of theyear that may be a chance you're willing to take. The deer will revert back to normal habits before next year.

Are you 100% sure that the deer are bedding there? Is it possible for them to be bedding on the next door property? If not why have you not checked out the north and south side of the thicket? Up here deer will move in the day time regardless.. I have shot most of my deer from 11:00 to 1:00 in the woods. They tend to stay in the woods during the day light hours once they get pressured and normally will find a spot to look for food. So if there is another area on your land that you can hunt then it should be getting checked out as well..

OK I know this may sound crazy but I've done it in the laurel thickets where I have a good vantage point to watch escape routes.
But a sling shot shooting pebbles through the thickets sometimes gets them rattled enough to get them to leave. And you don't enter the bedding area.
A good sling shot can carry a stone 100 yds easily.
