Teedub I agree to an extent. But I like to scout in the summer and then setup on a certain deer or two and hunt those couple of deer and I do that by setting up on that particular deers pattern and not the general pattern of the herd. Its a lot of work but its fun for me. I just think that the moon has been overrated when patterning deer is concerned that's all. I don't buy into it.

Well, Kinda. I think the "rut" issometimes confused with odd deer behavior during a full moon. They move more in the mid day(all year long), and not so much at dawn or dusk.

Another thing, IMO The new moon is the best time to hunt and is usually overlooked by most of us "moonbats". That said, none of it mattersas muchas hours in the bushes.
