Another Big Amish Buck

Thirty point DEER
Shot by an Amish boy with hand made long bow:

This buck was taken by a 14 year old Amish boy near Dalton WI . He used a hand made long bow and made the killing shot by stalking the huge buck using corn shocks for cover. The boy's family would not allow him to pose with the trophy animal for pictures so a nearby neighbor, Willie Flacid posed and is also acting as spokesman for the Amish boy.

According to Flacid, the Amish family has already received several offers from outdoor sporting companies to purchase the trophy. No dollar amount has been announced yet, but according to Flacid, 'the amount of money being offered is enough that no one would ever be hard up again.'

I didn't know the Amish would go hunting on game farms :D I seriously doubt that Wisconsin has deer that big anymore, but if its real, its very nice, and I'm sure the kidd was very proud.

Well........I hunt and work close to Dalton and I surely would have heard of this and I have not. I did hear a story somewhat like this a couple years ago but do not remember the deer being quite that big. Doesn't seem right to me, I would defintely like some validation on this story.

A guy named "flacid" is posing with the buck saying "no one will be hard up again"? sounds like some wise guy trying to be clever...

Thats no amish name lol. There was a Big buck shot in Wi I cant remember where, its in the local paper, but anyway Cabelas bought the buck from the kid who shot it for $150,000.00 it had an inside spread of 31 inches if i remember right. When cabelas got wind of the buck they called the kid. I think hes like 19 or somn and asked if he had skinned it yet, he said no, they said they were on their way to look at it. Ill see if I can find the story and post it.

It was actually a 14 year old boy who speared it with a hand made spear while sitting in a treestand made of straw. He did it at night with his eyes closed because he thought hunting during the day light hours was too easy. Where will this picture pop up next year, Im guessing a 9 year old from Missouri in 2009!!! Im just joking around, no matter what, he still is a huge buck!!

OK well the last picture shows it all unless the neighbor for the shoemaker buck moved to Wisconsin just to take this picture with this buck definitely the shoemaker buck. It's amazing how rumors can get started so fast on the internet.
