Default My 2008 Ohio Shotgun Doe.

My first deer of the year. Got this one with my Shotgun this morning. My daughter shot at this deer earlier this year and the arrow from the crossbow deflected and cut her back. This doe was in a group and was the biggest. I had n idea it was the same deer until I got done dressing her. Turned her over to drain and saw the cut.

Thanks guys. I sat most of the day in this stand yesterday and saw nothing. I decided I'd take a mature doe if I had the chance today as I had only Monday and Tuesday off work. I probably shoould have waited for a buck.. but I love the meat so when I saw her I decided.

I saw a small buck earlier and decided I didn't want to take him. About 20-30 minutes later this group with her in it showed up from another dorection. I looked at them and saw no buck..(close anyway) so decided to take her.

Although this pic doesn't show it I'm happy with her. My dad snapped the pics. I wasn't ready and I wasn't sure when he was taking it so no smile....[:@].. But I'll really happy with her. She's a nice heavy doe. although the agle of the pic and my fat self makes her look smaller than she is.

Just dropped her off at the check in / butcher. (had to wait on my daughter to gethome from school)
The guy after us was checking in a half rack buck.. Would have been an 8. My doe was as big as his buck...Iwas pretty happy with that.
