Opening day in Ohio a success (Updated page 2&3)!
The day started with my brother shooting his first and biggest buck:
He ended up breaking off his left antler as he was running away. I found it wrapped around a tree a few yards from where he fell. He made a great shot on it and he went about 100 yards. As it turns out, i have video of this buck from October:

Then my brothers best friend finished off the day with his biggest buck to date:
I know its not a shot that i would take, but he was facing him at about 90 yards and aimed for the base of the neck, 15 years old and buck fever made the shot hit right between the eyes. When he got closer, he found the deer still alive so he finished it with a heart shot. Upon closer inspection, the shot that hit between the eyes did not penetrate the skull. From what we can figure, the first shot glanced off and simply knocked the deer out.
Alltogether our group saw 15 deer, and another guy shot a small 8 point. It was a great day in Ohio!

RE: Opening day in Ohio a success!
Glad someone had some luck.... I saw nothing! Well the neighbors riding in and out on quads but that realy don't count... as much as you may want to take a tire out. (can't understand why they have to come in and out so loudly)
Anyway congrats to both of them. Glad the head shot turned out. Could have been bad.
Oh and tell them they can smile next time!!
