I had hoped to try some still hunting in the snow myself, only problem is the snow didn't show up here in Chippewa county where I hunt. I really like getting on a track in the snow like that and trying to bag one. It has never worked for me though.
Congrats on a fine hard earned buck. I think I could learn a thing or to from you. What county did you get him from?

Awesome Todd!!!
Great to see and read you enjoyed the great outdoors.
Great buck!

Next trip for you needs to be Northern NH, where I have bumped into Shane Benoit on an occasion or two.
The outlaws live on the Canadian border and big woods are abundant for tracking,
why don't you take a ride with Schultzy next year, good bear also Schultzy...??
200+lb bucks have your name on them!

Congratulations Todd! Great buck and great experience! Nothing like snow on the ground to read the woods and nothing like the anticipation of walking up on a big buck and taking him!

Wow, that's an exciting hunt! Tracking one down and killing it!

That demands respect! Given

Great buck! Congrats.

Great story, its not everyday you hear someone getting a buck by tracking on this website! A 1/2 drag out? Whew, that had to have been tough!

It was a tough one for sure! I finished the drag in the dark. I'm about to turn 46 yrs old. They seem to get heavier every year. My GPS said it was .45 miles as the crow flies.
I need a 20 yr old hunting partner who weighs about 250 # and can run the mile in 4 minutes
