Two Kansas bucks down (on public land at that!)
I shot my buck on November 5 on a piece of walk in hunting ground. The buck came in at about 0930. I shot him front mass and he went about 200 yards total. The buck walked right under my buddy first and he let him go by (you'll see why at the bottom of this post). I shot a nice 10 pointer off this place last year and my buddy's dad shot a real nice 10 pointer off this same place last year. This place is loaded with BIG old bucks! This is my deer. A nice little 8 pointer. I'm happy with him!
You can see why my buddy passed on my deer. He shot this buck about 15 yards from where I shot mine. He made a perfect shot and the buck went about 200 yards and piled up! What a tall 8 pointer! Man I love Kansas!

Nice bucks guys! What county in KS do you hunt? Was this on walk-in land or was it on state owned land? I'm not trying to horn in on your secret spots or anything, I just want to know in what part of Kansas you hunt in. Next year I'm going to start bowhunting public land (walk-in and state owned land).
