Hey guys,
What are YOUR "Deer Beard" rules?
Normally:
-Start the beard on opening morning.
-Cannot shave beard until first kill ( some say buck kill ).
-Must shave after season close.
I chose not to shave after I shot my buck since I shot it second morning.
Lets toss some Deer Beard rules & stories around!

I shave my neck but leave the beard from the first day until a miss. I keep going after a kill because it is lucky after that, until a miss then I start over again. This is from Nov 15 until the first week in Jan when the season ends.

I grow a full goat from the start of Archery season and keep in on and trimmed till the end of hunting season. So, about Sept - March 1st. I normally stay clean shaven the rest of the year. Once in a while grow it back for a month in the summer.

I start my beard at the start of archery season in September. I don't shave it off until spring. I like it for camouflage and insulation. I have been working outside the last couple years.

I always let me beard grow out for deer season! I shave everyday the rest of the year but the week before gun season starts I let it grow. I feel it helps you blend in a little more. It paid off this year!
