If it's legal try baiting.

You can also try estrous and hope that a buck still has the drive in him to be moving around.

Turn around and face the other way! No seriously, they have changed food sources or you might have boosted them out of the area. Are you the only hunter? Are youparking in the same area and walking the same path ot the post? They might have you pegged.

Ok, I'm glad to hear someone else say this.

During bow season and the first week of muzzleloader season, I saw at least 5 deer each sit. Some hunts I saw up to 10. (Thats good for around here because I am hunting the most heavily hunted county in Virginia). Now, I haven't seen but one deer in 5 sits. I'm hoping this week will turn out better for me.
Same here... During bow season in Virginia, I had deer all over the place. One of the locals counted 9 deer in the late evening, and 4 in the pasture across the street!

But now... NOTHING! [&o]

I hunted hard last week during rifle season, and I only saw one tiny spike buck - I let him walk too. In a few years, hopefully, he'll be a nice 8 pointer.
