Move the camera down a bit and see if you can get a pic of it, if its frequenting the area, hell be back.

That's what my buddies think because my corn is getting torn up too. I haven't seen any waller holes or any other signs of hogs. Where I'm hunting is considered wetland which is about a mile or two from Pee Dee river so it's possible

I got the camera out there now lower and at a different angle. I'm going to check later and see what I got.

Beaver is a possibility, I've seen Beavers in a nearby pond years ago. I think they were shot by someone though because they kept building damns and drying up other ponds and ditches. I hope it's not a bear, I don't know what I'd do if I ran up on a bear.

So far we have a bear, badger, beaver, boar...Ill throw in billy goat for good measure.

I can't believe all the experienced woodsmen here haven't figured this one out. it's so simple. the tree scraping is the classic sign of a territorial donkey. they do that when they think they are the big dog (or in this case big a$$) on campus.
