44 mag for whitetail

My son will be using a Ruger 44 mag deerfield carbine for the upcoming season. Any suggestions on bullet choice? Thanks.

Anything in 240 gr will work. Have used it a few times. The hollow points help with the handgun but the rifle will work with any bullet.

The leverolution might be a good one.

I like the 300g xtp in my s&w, but in a carbine the leverolution should fit the bill nicely.
