Rainy Day Shotgun Opener?

Rainy Day Shotgun Opener?
Well Saturday is the shotgun opener here in the Hoosier state and the forecast is not looking good. The high is supposed to be about 40 degrees in the morningand drop throughout the day to 30 degrees. Chance of rain is 70% with westerly winds around 20mph.[:'(]I know this might change by tomorrow night, so I will just wait and see.
My question is should I sit through weather like this in the morning and wait for the weather to break in the afternoon? I know after the rain passes they will be moving around, but are my chances of seeing deer worth being in weather like that. I know you can't see deer if you aren't in the woods. I do have a good waterproof bibs and parka so I can stay fairly warm and dry.
In weather like this what have you guys done in the past? More than likely I willbe outtaking whatever abuse mother nature throws at mebecause I hate to miss an opening morning.

Where you hunting? I'll be driving west a little to South Central Indiana, near Bedford. I will also be out in it. Not a chance I'd miss it, and plus the cold front coming through will help a lot. good luck

I'll also will be out in it,I just don't know if i should use my bow with that much wind blowing or should I get a gun tag.The reason i might take my bow is I haven't been seeing much of anything only seen a small 3pter and 4 doe's .Going out in the morn with my bow hope to see something.

I too will be braving the cold & rain here in Indiana!!! My cousin is coming up from FL to try and get his 1st deer.. so he'll really enjoy this fine IN weather!!!
We will be hunting the state land around Patoka.
I don't think there will be too much issue w/ the deer movement... the orange army will be out in full force.. bound to push the deer around.
If opening morning isn't productive.. I have the whole next week off [&:]

Here in Virginia it is supposed to rain and even thunder storm most of the day. My son and I will be out in it. I am taking changes of clothes and my new brown umbrella. We will probably not be too far away from the truck.
