I have always been an avid bird hunter but never got into deer hunting, but my 16 year old daughter has been after me to take her deer hunting, so for Christmas last year she wanted a deer rifle, she ended up with a Weatherby Vanguard 7mm-08. We went out on the youth weekend Saturday morning and she missed a doe, went back to the same location that afternoon and this 8pt. came walking in, her boyfriend was with us and he managed to get him into about 50 yards with his grunt call, only shot she had was a neck shot, but he crumpled where he stood! He field dressed at 130 lbs. Sorry about the dark photo, it was dark by the time we got him out and checked in. Don't know who was prouder her or me!
