Getting to your stand
#7
usually for me its 15-30.
i have to admit, i cant stand sitting in my stand in the dark and hearing something walk in front of me and not knowing what it is. ever since i had an encounter with coyotes, im not as brave in the woods

I usually like to get in really early. At least 30-45 mins. This new area I'm planning to hunt has alot of palmettos. It's almost impossible to get in there quietly. Being on a WMA, I'm not supposed to cut the vegetation, and if I do, someone else is likely to find my trail and use it to their advantage. If I wait till daylight and go in, I can save alot of noise, but then I'm losing that valuable time right at sunrise. I guess I'm still up in the air for this year
