what are some good slugs for my mossberg 500 12 gauge w/ rifled slug barrel? should i get sabot slugs or rifled slugs? im lookiong for some that arent really overpriced but get the job done out to 75 yards. i have used remington sluggers in the past but[:@] THEY SUCK AT ANYTHING OVER 20 YARDS!

If you have a fully rifled barrel, you should use sabot slugs. As far as brand, they all work, but some will shoot better than others. Luckily, you can buy them in packs of 5 so it keeps the cost down till you find the one that shoots best for you. In my Mossy 500, Federal slugs shoot the best.

Hornaday SST's are AWESOME!!!

Im shooting Hornady SST's right now, i like them alot.

Ditto solocam, hornady shoots best by far out of my 870, not even close to the others.

I like Federal Barnes Expanders. No need to try something different when they work great.

i have the mossberg 535 and i use the federal premium barnes expanders, like them a lot shot good group at 75 yards and they are beastly.

When i was choosing a sabot for my 870 Full rifled i tried the Winchester Partition Golds as well as the Winchester Platinum Tips. They both worked fine, however i found the Hornady more accurate at longer distances. If i recall correctly, the Hornady's are faster at the muzzle as well.
