Default Bladder got cut?

I got a call this morning from a buddy that was freaky out. He got hes first deer ever and was field dressing it. because of all the blood he said he didnt see the bladder and popped it. so he is thinking he has messed up all of the meat.
I said that with that much blood in the body he might have got lucky. and did not mess it up. I also said get it home fast and wash the body out with some water. he didnt have any water with him he just finish his last bottle will taking to me. I feel sorry for him. I just talked to him and he said his dad didnt smell anything funny. so they start cutting it up.

I my self have only field dress a few deer and do my best to not get near it.
So what is the deal with the bladder? what will it do to the meat?

nothing, its just urine and people have drank their own in a life and death situation, just rinse off the deer.

It doesn't hurt anything, that's just a BS story from way back. Get the deer home and wash out the cavity with a hose. No problem.
